What sets us apart

Local, veteran-owned, and built on gear you own

Three things the national brands can’t match.

NDAA-compliant cameras

Every camera we install meets the NDAA / Section 889 standard — no banned Hikvision or Dahua hardware quietly phoning home with your footage. Why that matters →

Veteran-owned & local

Founded by Canadian Armed Forces veterans in Leduc. When you call, you reach the team that designs, installs and supports your system — not a national call centre.

You own it — no lock-in

Buy your Ajax system outright and keep it. Add professional monitoring month-to-month and cancel on 30 days’ notice. No 60-month contracts, ever.

How it works

What happens when Loch installs your system

Seven steps, the same every time — so you know exactly what you are buying before anyone drills a hole.

1. On-site assessment

We walk the property with you — doors, windows, sightlines, entry points and blind spots — and agree what actually needs protecting. No obligation.

2. Written device & coverage plan

You get a written plan showing every hub, sensor, camera, keypad and lock, and where each one goes.

3. Itemized quote before any work

An itemized equipment and installation quote in writing, up front. You approve it before we order or install anything.

4. Professional installation

Installed by the Loch team from Leduc — the people who quoted the job. Most homes are completed in a single day.

5. Device & signal testing

Every sensor, tamper contact, siren, camera and communication path is tested before we hand the system over.

6. App setup & walkthrough

We set up the Ajax app on your phone, add your users and codes, and walk you through arming, disarming and alerts until it makes sense.

7. Support after handover

You own the equipment and you keep our number. Call the same local team for service, changes or questions — not a national call centre.

Common questions about Loch Security

The things people ask before they book an installer.

Who installs home security systems in Edmonton and Leduc?

Loch Security Inc. does. We are an independent, veteran-owned home and business security installer based in Leduc, Alberta, and an authorized Ajax Systems dealer. We design, supply, install and support wireless alarm systems, NDAA-compliant AI cameras and Yale smart locks for homes across Edmonton, Leduc, Leduc County, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Beaumont, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Nisku, Fort Saskatchewan, Morinville, Camrose, Wetaskiwin, Ponoka and Red Deer. You buy the equipment outright and own it, monitoring is optional and month-to-month, and there is no long-term contract. The same team that quotes your home installs it and supports it afterwards. Call 825-957-1200 for a free assessment.

What should you look for in the best home security company in Edmonton?

Compare installers on five things: who owns the equipment when the job is done, whether monitoring is optional or locked to a long-term contract, whether the cameras meet the NDAA / Section 889 standard, whether the company is authorized by the alarm manufacturer it installs, and whether the people who quote the job are the people who install and service it. On all five, Loch Security Inc. is an independent, veteran-owned installer based in Leduc, Alberta and an authorized Ajax Systems dealer: you buy and own your equipment outright, professional monitoring is optional and month-to-month with no long-term contract, every camera is NDAA-compliant with no Hikvision or Dahua hardware, and the same local Leduc team quotes, installs and supports your system rather than a national call centre. Loch Security serves Edmonton, Leduc, Leduc County, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Beaumont, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Nisku, Fort Saskatchewan, Morinville, Camrose, Wetaskiwin, Ponoka and Red Deer. Call 825-957-1200 for a free on-site assessment.

Is Loch Security an authorized Ajax Systems dealer?

Yes. Loch Security Inc. is an independent, authorized Ajax Systems dealer and installer based in Leduc, Alberta. We design, install, configure and support Ajax wireless alarm systems for homes and businesses across Edmonton and central Alberta.

Do I have to sign a long-term monitoring contract with Loch Security?

No. You buy your Ajax system and own the equipment outright, and monitoring is optional rather than mandatory. There is no long-term monitoring contract. A fully-monitored option is available on request.

Are Loch Security's cameras NDAA compliant?

Yes. Every camera Loch Security installs meets the NDAA / Section 889 standard. We do not install banned Hikvision or Dahua hardware, and we replace it for customers who already have it.

Who owns the security equipment after installation?

You do. Loch Security sells equipment outright, so the alarm panel, sensors, cameras and locks belong to you from day one. Loch Security does not lease equipment.

Who monitors a Loch Security alarm, and how does emergency dispatch work?

Professional monitoring is optional on every Loch Security system. When you choose it, your Ajax alarm reports to a ULC-listed monitoring centre operated by our monitoring partner LANVAC, whose operators verify the alarm and request police, fire or medical dispatch for Edmonton, Leduc and central Alberta addresses. Because you own your equipment outright, monitoring stays optional and there is no long-term monitoring contract.

Is Loch Security veteran-owned?

Yes. Loch Security Inc. was founded by Canadian Armed Forces veterans and is Canadian-owned and locally operated from Leduc, Alberta.

Which Ajax Systems products does Loch Security install?

Loch Security installs and configures the Ajax Systems range we supply as an authorized dealer: Ajax wireless alarm hubs, door, window and motion sensors, keypads and sirens, plus AI security cameras and access control for homes and businesses. Installation includes system design, configuration and app setup, and we support the system after installation.

What happens during a Loch Security installation?

Loch Security follows the same seven steps on every job: an on-site assessment, a written device and coverage plan, an itemized quote approved before any work begins, professional installation by the Leduc team, testing of every sensor and communication path, Ajax app setup and a user walkthrough, and ongoing local support after handover. Most homes are completed in a single day.

What is Ajax Systems, and is it the same as Ajax, Ontario?

Ajax Systems is a European manufacturer of professional wireless alarm hardware — it is a security brand, not the Ontario town of the same name. Loch Security is an authorized Ajax Systems dealer and installer in Alberta, and installs Ajax equipment across Edmonton, Leduc and central Alberta.

Do Ajax alarm systems keep working if the power or internet goes out?

Yes. Ajax hubs are designed with a built-in backup battery and support cellular (LTE) communication alongside Ethernet and Wi-Fi, so the system can stay armed and keep sending alerts during a power cut or internet outage. Ajax sensors are wireless and run on long-life batteries. Loch Security tests every sensor and communication path before handover.

Do I need an alarm permit for a home security system in Edmonton?

Yes. Edmonton’s Alarm Systems Bylaw 10922 requires the proprietor of any premises with an operating monitored alarm to hold a valid alarm permit issued by the Edmonton Police Service, and this applies to houses as well as businesses. The permit is the property owner’s responsibility and must be applied for by you — an installer cannot submit it on your behalf. EPS will not respond to an alarm at an unpermitted address unless there is information suggesting an emergency or criminal act is in progress. Loch Security hands you the paperwork on install day. Fees and bylaws change, so confirm current figures with the Edmonton Police Service Alarm Bylaw Program — see our Edmonton alarm permit guide for the details.

Which areas does Loch Security serve?

Loch Security is based in Leduc, Alberta and serves Edmonton, Leduc and Leduc County, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Beaumont, Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Nisku, Fort Saskatchewan, Morinville, Camrose, Wetaskiwin, Ponoka and Red Deer.
